AIMS stands for Active and Independent Mobility System. It is a bespoke re-enablement platform that is being developed in partnership between the Scottish Centre for Enabling Technology (SCET) based in the University of West Scotland (UWS) and NHS Lanarkshire (NHSL).
AIMS will change the nature of the relationship between patients, staff and concerned others (family members, friends, befrienders) by offering them an opportunity to become FACILITATORS of the patients re-enablement package.
